With over 40% Marketshare, WordPress is a colossal beast when it comes to Web Content Management Systems. With its seemingly infinite array of templates, themes, and piug-ins, WordPress can be a good fit from a Mom and Pop shop to a large enterprise venture. The challenge is that the exact architectural flexibility facilitated by WordPress makes it so that few sites are similar to each other from an architectural perspective. And the more complex a site is, the more likely it is to be full of caveats, exceptions, manual coding, content injections and other kinds of variations that make it impossible to apply a 1 size fits all approach.

Enter the magic of Bureu Works. With an impressive site with over 1200 pages per language and nearly 17 languages (trying to do the Math here…a whopping 20,400 total pages) Zendesk required a solution that could manage the heavy lifting from a content perspective.

Bureau Works worked closely with Zendesk’s engineering team to ensure that the mechanisms in our standard WordPress REST API connector were compatible with their content management framework. Our teams worked together to find common ground, solutions and implemented a state of the art connector that scans for both new or changed content and creates multi-step translation projects, routing content to agencies, market reviewers all the way back to publishing making the monstrous complexity apparently trivial and easy to manage.

Our WordPress Connector leveragaes WordPress’s REST API to transform new/updated pages and posts into translatable content, leverages this new content against previously translated content and creates automatically tasks that are assigned to the appropriate parties allowing Project Managers to sit back and intervene at an exception level rather than plow through the unnecessary heavy-lifitng involved in multilingual web content management.
