You can now translate entire files directly in the Portal. Just upload a document and get a translation right away, with formatting preserved, glossaries applied, and enterprise-grade security built in.

The Portal gives you the instant ease of an LLM, but with the reliability of a complete translation platform, where you can still manage linguists, assign work, and handle payments.

For agencies, it means more than speed. You can give clients branded portals where they can handle quick copy-paste translations and, when needed, request human translation or review without ever leaving the same space.

And that’s just the start, scroll down to see the other ways we’ve improved your translation flow.

Portal Now Accepts Documents (and More)

Beyond translating full documents in seconds, the Portal got a round of upgrades. You can upload a logo to brand your Portal, browse past translations in the new Sessions tab, and give admins more control over who should use the Portal and who sticks with the full TMS.

Have you tried the Portal? We’d love to hear what you think.

Auto-Confirm Pre-Translated Segments

With the new Auto Confirm option in translation settings, pre-translated segments get instantly marked as confirmed.

But this isn’t just about saving a few clicks.
Auto Confirm is the first real step toward agentic translation, a future (present?) where the system doesn’t just guess what to translate, but actually decides what’s worth your attention.

This is the start of something bigger, with humans feeding intention and purpose (see our PIC suggestion), and automation doing the heavy lifting.

Unzipping

Fix Tags for Me

Wouldn’t it be great if life’s little problems solved themselves? Now Bureau Works automatically repairs broken tags that block file downloads. If the tags can be repaired, your file downloads clean. This works across the Editor, Work Units, Bulk Projects, and Project Actions.

Unzipping

Spell Check Exception

Not every “alert” is an error. With Spell Check Exceptions, you can tell the system to leave certain terms alone, whether it’s a brand name, local spelling, or an internal term.

Configure it at the org unit or project level, or add terms on the fly right from the Editor. Your QA checks will now spend less time nagging you, and more time catching real mistakes.

QA Check Enhancements

Yes, another QA update. As the volume of automatic translations grows, QA can easily turn into a wall of noise.

Now, you’re in control.
You can filter QA issues by type, hide the ones that don’t matter, and focus only on segments that actually need review. Want to ignore spelling alerts for brand names or local terms? Toggle them off. Need to zero in on machine translation mismatches or formatting errors? Keep those visible.

When you’re done, download a cleaner QA report that reflects your actual priorities, not every tiny flag the system can think of.

What’s New

Jellyfish Chooses Bureau Works for Translation Technology

“The best work happens when localization is part of creation itself,” says Rocío Martínez, VP of Language Services at Jellyfish. For her, translation isn’t something tacked on at the end, it belongs at the very start of every idea, shaping how stories are told across cultures.

That’s exactly why Jellyfish partnered with Bureau Works. By bringing automation and human creativity together, they’ve cut translation costs by 70% while freeing their teams to focus on what really counts: building campaigns that resonate across borders and feel authentic everywhere.

We’re PIC Finalists, But This Time, It’s Not Just About Innovation

We’ve made it to the PIC finals for the fifth consecutive edition, but this time, it’s not about being innovative.

It’s about bringing humanity back to translation.

Why? Because we’re under attack. Every week, there’s another research paper or flashy demo announcing the end of translators, as if human language were just another dataset waiting to be automated.

As AI gets “good enough,” the human craft behind translation risks disappearing into metrics and averages. We refuse to accept that, even if, for many, it’s already the norm.

That’s why we created Articulated Suggestions, to prove that what makes human translation valuable isn’t just accuracy, it’s intent. It’s the reasoning, the cultural intuition, the invisible choices that shape meaning.

If we can make that visible, if we can show the thought behind every word, then maybe we can stop translation from becoming just another byproduct of automation..

If you’re at LocWorld, come find us. Let’s talk about what it really takes to keep translation human in an age of automation.

Let’s go deeper. What do you think? Join the conversation in our community.

Proud to Sponsor LocWorld’s Keynote

And yes, there’s life beyond the PIC...

This year, we are proud to be the Keynote Sponsor at LocWorld, supporting:

Rika Nakazawa’s keynote, “From Code to Carbon – Decoding Nature, Recoding Humanity with Organic Intelligence.”

We’ll also be hosting two sessions that look straight into the future of our craft:

What Happens When Translation Effort Gets to Zero?
How far can automation go before meaning gets lost?

Infinite Knowledge: What Lies Beyond Translation Memories?
What happens when we move past repetition and start working with understanding itself?
